-
Any waxing should be done at least 2 days prior to your session.
-
Shave the day before or the morning of (at least 4 hours prior).
-
Recently been sunburnt? We suggest to wait at least 3 weeks for your skin to heal. Spraying over sunburn may result in a blotchy tan.
-
Make sure to fully rinse out your conditioner and thoroughly rinse off your back. Some conditioners will create a barrier and may leave you with streaks.
-
Stop the use of Retinol products 3 days prior to your appointment.

-
Wear dark, loose-fitting clothes for your ride home. Slip-on shoes or fuzzy slippers work best. Avoid underwire or strappy bras, strappy sandals and flipflops.
-
DON'T wear deodorant, makeup, lotions, or perfume.
-
DON'T shower within 4 hours prior to your session. Your skin needs time to dry and time to balance out your skins' pH level.
-
Wear nail polish to avoid discoloration. Any discoloration will easily buff off nails.
-
Plan to rinse after 2-4 hours for Rapid and 6-8 hours for Gradual. The longer you wait the darker the tan. The color will be fully developed after 24 hours.
-
Avoid working out or activities that make you excessively sweat for the first 24 hours.
-
If you have leather car seats, put down a towel for your ride home.
-
While your tan is setting be careful not to dribble when you tinkle.
-
Avoid skin-on-skin contact until your first rinse.
-
Check the forecast. Bring an umbrella and hooded jacket/sweatshirt for rainy days.

post care
-
Do not use makeup remover wipes. This will strip the color.
-
Your first shower after your session, only rinse and do not use soap (under arms is ok). Gently use your hand to guide off bronzers and to avoid streak marks. Pat dry, don't rub.
-
Use the potty before your first rinse. Don't go in the shower. This may result in streaks.
-
Moisturize daily. Use tan extenders and gradual tan lotions to extend the life of your tan or blend any areas that are fading faster. Recommended lotions are available for purchase.
-
Avoid harsh soaps (like Dove bar soap), strong exfoliants and oil-based products. We recommend using a gentle shower gel. Recommended shower gels are available for purchase.
-
Gently exfoliate with a dry brush when you are ready for the tan to be done or to blend any areas that are fading faster. Dry brushes are available for purchase. Foam Tan Erasers are also available for purchase.
-
Use lotion or cream based sunscreens. Avoid aerosol products. Recommended sunscreens are available for purchase.
FAQ
-
Will I be orange? Only if you want to be. The color is completely customized to your desired look and your skin's undertones. The technician will formulate after your consultation. It's not like a spray booth and "you get what you get." It's completely customized to you.
-
What should I wear? Wear dark, loose-fitting clothes after your session. Slip-on shoes or slippers work best. Avoid underwire or strappy bras, strappy sandals and flipflops. As for during your session, you may dress or undress to your comfort level. Bring dark colored underwear or a swimsuit that will leave clean tan lines. The solution usually washes out easily. We have disposables if needed. Wear long sleeves and pants if you plan to sleep before your 1st rinse.
-
How long will it last? Your tan can last anywhere from 5-12 days. Lighter colors will generally fade faster than darker colors. Your tan will be at its peak on day 2-3. Follow our prepping and post care for the best results. Stay hydrated; inside and out. Drink plenty of water and moisturize daily. Take lukewarm showers, pat dry and avoid chlorinated water. Your menstrual cycle may also play a role in the longevity of your tan.
-
I just rinsed and it's not as dark as I wanted. Be patient. The color will be fully developed after 24 hours. We keep record of the formulas we use; at your next appointment we can adjust the formula accordingly.
-
I just rinsed and my legs and arms are streaky. This happens when you have not rinsed thoroughly. Don't worry, hop back in the shower. Rinse with lukewarm water until the runoff water is clear. If needed, use your hand to gently guide off the bronzer until streak-free.
-
I haven't rinsed yet and I accidentally scratched myself, rubbed off the solution, or got splashed by water. Accidents happen. Don't freak out quite yet. Slightly dampen a makeup brush, rub it on a towel until it's ever-so-lightly damp. In a circular motion, blend the effected area. Once you fully rinse off, it should blend nicely. For any bigger accidents, contact your technician for further instructions.
-
How soon can I get another one? 14 days in between sessions is suggested for inexperienced spray tan customers. Very experienced customers may schedule 7-10 days at the earliest. When spraying close together you must do proper exfoliation. Spraying over previous color may create uneven splotchy tones and uneven fading.
-
What brand do you use? Primarily use Perfect Glow and Unfiltered. However, depending on the individuals skin type and preference we do have some other brands on hand.
